Starkspur McIntosh
The record of the National Fruit Collection, at Brogdale in Kent, describes it1:
A bud mutation of McIntosh producing spur type tree growth. Discovered in 1968 by Bernie Gatzke in Oyama, British Columbia, Canada. Introduced in Canada in 1970. Fruits have white, rather soft, fine-textured, very juicy flesh, with a sweet, pleasant vinous flavour.
