Apple varieties, United Kingdom
Burr Knot
The record of the National Fruit Collection, at Brogdale in Kent, describes it1:
An apple of UK origin. First recorded in 1818. The fruits are of no particular merit but the trees produce numerous burrs, and roots freely from cuttings. Fruits have soft, coarse-textured rather dry flesh.
